Retreat Schedule
Our all-inclusive sewing retreats are a chance to spend time away sewing and learning without the distractions of everyday life.
Uninterrupted sewing with an experienced tutor and a small group who are as passionate about making as you are.
Day 1: Friday 8th March
A relaxed welcome to get everyone in the mood for a weekend of sewing and fun!
From 6pm: Arrival, check in to your room, complimentary gift bag including helpful equipment for the weekend, welcome drink and meet and greet, cheeseboard from Bloc cheese and getting to know each other.
Day 2: Saturday 9th March
Our first day of sewing
7am - 9am Continental Breakfast served
10am - 12.30pm Sewing Session 1 - Pattern Drafting
Learn how to hand-draft a pattern, then cut and sew a toile. Also includes intro to sewing machine, if needed.
Tea, coffee and sweet treats provided throughout
12.30pm - 1.30pm Lunch
A light lunch will be provided and free time.
1.30pm - 5pm Sewing Session 2 - Fitting Your Toile
Learn how to fit your fabric toile to your body perfectly.
Tea, coffee and sweet treats provided throughout
Optional Excursion: Trip to Miss Gingers Haberdashery in Folkestone to buy your main garment fabric or just have a browse.
6pm Pizza night
We’ll be ordering local artisan pizza and having a fun night-in, including hot tub, karaoke, cinema and drinks.
Day 3: Sunday 10th March
Our second day of sewing
7am - 9am Continental Breakfast served
10am - 12.30pm Sewing Session 3 - Main Fabric
It’s time to cut out your main fabric for your garment and sew it together.
Tea, coffee and sweet treats provided throughout
12.30pm - 1.30pm Lunch
A light lunch will be provided and free time.
1.30pm - 5.30pm Sewing Session 4 - Final Fittings and Finishings
Learn how to finish your garment properly and make those finishing touches.
Tea, coffee and sweet treats provided throughout
6pm Dinner at a Local Pub

Day 4: Monday 11th March
Farewell

+ Optional vineyard tour at Terlingham Vineyard
Friday 8th March, 2pm - 4pm
Join us for a relaxed and fun-filled afternoon at one of The Times Top 20 British Vineyards. Terlingham Vineyard is situated on the Kent Downs, with fabulous views over the English Channel to France.
We’ll start with a gentle guided walk in the vineyard, with a behind-the-scenes view of how they use natural farming methods to grow the grapes. Then we’ll taste a selection of their fabulous still and sparkling wines, complemented by a cheese board, a selection of crusty bread and finished off with a slice of cake.

All equipment will be provided, so all you’ll need to bring is the final fabric for your project. We’d recommend 3 metres. If you have any questions about fabric just give us a message.
We will provide: sewing machines, toile fabric, scissors, thread and all other tools to make your pattern and toile.
You’ll also need comfortable clothing and any personal items you may need during your stay - and a cossie for the hot tub if you want!

No - we can teach you how to setup and use a sewing machine at the start of the retreat and will be on hand to help with any questions you have throughout the retreat. Our retreats are designed for small groups so we can give you the help and attention you need.

You will spend the weekend working on a sewing project, from start to finish, You can pick what you want to sew when you book onto the retreat. We offer:

Under the expert guidance of Gemma Vincent, you'll learn a range of sewing techniques and skills to create beautiful garments. The retreat covers the full process, including pattern making, toile creation, garment construction, and finishing touches.

To ensure a personalised and enriching experience, we keep our retreats small, with only 10 spots available. This allows each participant to receive individual attention and guidance from our instructor, Gemma Vincent.

We understand that plans can change, and sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise. If you need to cancel, we’ll let you transfer your booking to another retreat later in the year.

Yes, accommodation is included in the retreat package. You'll stay at our carefully selected retreat location, offering a peaceful and serene setting to enhance your sewing experience.
