You’ll be staying and sewing in the beautifully restored Officers House in Hawkinge, surrounded by countryside. The luxury house features 4 king/double bedrooms, a dorm room, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, kitchen, dining room and utility room and even a hot tub, cinema, bar, koi pond and steam room.

Escape to luxury at our exclusive sewing retreat nestled in a stunning three-storey house. Immerse yourself in the opulence of a cozy living room with a fireplace and a modern cinema room featuring a 55-inch HD TV and karaoke machine. Gather with your fellow sewists in the elegant communal dining space. Step outside to discover a beautiful garden with seating areas and a 6-seater hot tub and bar.

Retreat to one of the three bedrooms on the first floor, including a master suite with a super king-size bed, custom walk-in wardrobe, and an en-suite bathroom with a steam room. The dorm room offers two bunk beds, one with a double bed, and its own en-suite. A family bathroom with a walk-in shower and a freestanding roll-top bath completes the floor.

On the second floor, enjoy a common space with a large sofa, flanked by two bedrooms offering king-size beds and breathtaking countryside views. For convenience, a utility room and adjoining shower room/WC are on the ground floor, along with parking space for up to seven cars.

Situated near the trendy town of Folkestone, our retreat is perfectly located on the North Downs Way. Explore the vibrant creative quarter, enjoy the Harbour Arm's live music and open-air films, or take a stroll to the charming town of Sandgate with its antique shops and pebble beach. Indulge your shopping desires at the Ashford Designer Outlet and discover the historical city of Canterbury, just a short 15-minute drive away.

  • The Officers House is just outside Hawkinge in Kent and can be found down a quiet private drive with beautiful countryside views. Exact location of the house will be sent out when you’ve booked.

  • Of course - when booking your place you can choose from a range of rooms that suit your requirements and budget.

  • The retreat is all-inclusive. All meals, drinks and snacks will be provided - apart from the Sunday evening meal to allow for participants to choose what they want.

  • Absolutely - we cater to all dietary and allergy requirements, just let us know what you need when you book.

  • Yes - there is free private parking for up to 7 cars right in front of the house on the gravel driveway.

  • By car - the house is only 1.8 miles from the M20 motorway or only a 10 minute drive from Folkestone.

    By train - the house is only a 10 minute taxi/car drive from Folkestone West train station, or a 25 minute drive from Canterbury West or Ashford stations.
